Lil' Red Hood's Game Review : Angel Under

I always enjoyed games from the developer Babusgames and I wonder why I never wrote a quick review for this one. Well, the time is now, because this game is great and I can't wait to talk about it.

Angel Under is a unique mix of adult visual novel, quest and action. I always enjoy adult games when they mix genres and are not sctricly a visual novel. The story starts simple. The hell itself is attacking with hordes of demons and our response is to dispatch groups of hunters who work in pairs, engineers and fighters. To facilitate the process and make signing up to fight demons more enticing a whole TV show was created around it.

The best combatants receive fame, glory and entire earth attention. So there is always no shortage of new recruits. We play as a pair of Erin and Milo who are entering the fight against Hell and participating in the game show. This is the gist of the story but there a lot of other things going on under the hood and the war against Hell may prove way more difficult than it was anticipated.

As you probably guessed from the story synopsis this game is very story heavy and there is a lot of character development. If you are not a fan of reading and just here for a sex scenes, this might not be for you. But if you do enjoy a good story and fun characters, then there are plenty of both here!

The gameplay is divided into 2 parts. Where we play as Milo and where we play as Erin. When we play as Milo the game turns into a quest, where you move around, speak with people, solve their problems, seduce ladies and yes, have sex. These are usually story heavy and you do have to read to know what to do next. Although the tasks are never hard and on the top left there is alwasy a hint on what to do next.

When we play as Erin the game turns into a side scroller action game with a hint of a platformer. Double jump, dash, shoot and hit the demons to progress forward. The game features quite unique and nice mechanic, where in order to restore ammo you need to hit enemy in melee. Which is a great idea and keeps the action going forward.

Overall, I really enjoyed both segments of the gameplay. I liked going around as Milo seducing girls and going around as Erin kicking some ass.

Now you may be wondering, with so many things to do, there is probably not enough sex scenes? Not really, there are plenty.

Of course you won't be getting everything at the same time, but they are given to you over the course of the game at a nice pace. The scenes are also animated and, as always, look amazing. Babusgames always featured some amazing sexy drawings and this game is no exception.
